- The course is online and therefore assumes that delegates have access to computers and/or smart phones to access, complete and submit assignments.
- You only need to forward/email your Answers. An answer sheet will be attached. Sometimes there is an added TRUE & FALSE or Exercise answer sheet as well. We don't set it up for you in a specific format because there are different devices, systems and formats, so it might not come out correct or scrambled on your side. Assignments are in WORD or EXCELL format/program, so should be accessible on all devices. If not, then you may just put your answers in the main section of an email. Make sure you use the right number for your answer and write your name on top.
- Weekly assignments are send out on a Tuesdays. Please let us know that you’ve received the assignments when you do. Assignments MUST be submitted the following Tuesday by 5pm. You therefore have a week to complete an assignment. No exceptions! Late submissions will not be received, processed or marked. They will therefore be scored as a zero and still be calculated as part of the average.
- You will receive a receipt email – e.g. Thank you Assignment 1 Answers received -when we've received your answers email. If you don't receive such an email, you have until 10pm on that particular due Tuesday to let us know. Thereafter it will be considered a non submission.
- Assignments should take an hour or two on average to complete. Some assignments might take slightly longer or slightly shorter. If you would like to do more reading regarding the specific content/topic, it will obviously take longer and you’ll be more informed and knowledgeable.
- We do want answers in your own words and by your understanding and not copy and pasting answers from the notes or other sources. You'll be asked for your thoughts and perceptions about certain things quite often. We want you to think and give us your opinion, whatever your background and experience in this field may be. It can't be wrong, it's your opinion and perception and has value and is valid. This is not to judge but get you to think about what you are doing or going to be doing as a learner facilitator or tutor. Be creative and trust your intuition, instincts and sense about things and what makes sense to you. You are interested in this field because this is where your interests, compassion and heart lie. Your intuition and instincts will most of the time be accurate. Go for it!
- The points allocated for each question indicate the number of facts / points / answers that are required.
- DO NOT copy and paste answers. You will only receive HALF the marks allocated.
- Answer ALL the questions, even if you are not sure. Effort will get scored and rewarded. Omissions will not.
- A Support page for the ONLINE courses and workshops is set up on the website - you are currently on it. Check here for regular asked questions, notifications and FAQ’s. There is also a submission form to submit any question or queries you might have regarding the assignments. These/your questions and answers will also be placed on this page.
- To receive your course certificate, you should submit ALL your assignments. No Exceptions! An average score of 50% or more for ALL the assignments is required to receive the certificate.
- You will receive a letter of participation and completion at the end of the course, together with a short report stating your marks you received for the assignments submitted in time and general evaluations and suggestions.
- You are welcome to participate without being graded/marked if you so choose. However, in such cases there will be no certificate, only a letter of participation and completion.
- It is suggested that you do assignments sooner rather than later, as sometimes technology (and ESKOM) trips us up and throws a spanner in the works.
- Please let us know as soon as possible if you run into difficulties or technological woes. Do not leave it for the Tuesday. That excuse for late submission will not be accepted.
